PASTA E VINO $29 · EVERY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
ABOUT US
One table, two passionate people, food that makes you feel good.
WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?
In Italian, prezzemolo means parsley. Since we’re in Montreal, we cut it in two to give it a local accent: Prezze, like the French “pressé” (in a hurry), and Mollo, like the Québécois “vas-y mollo” (take it easy).
A quick lunch at noon, an aperitivo that lingers into the evening: that’s exactly the spirit of the place.
And the little face on our glasses, in our logo and even on the paintings on our walls? Look closely: it’s an O, an L and an O, the “olo” in prezzemolo.
Prezze Mollo is, first and foremost, the story of a couple: Catherine Caron and Julien Messier-Cousineau. In life as in the kitchen, we share the same love of Italian food, the kind that comforts, that’s meant to be shared and that brings people together.
For both of us, Italian food has always been the ultimate comfort food: fresh, balanced, generous. We wanted to pay tribute to it in our own way, with fresh pasta made every day, homemade sauces and focaccia, and carefully crafted cocktails.
Eating out keeps getting more expensive. Yet eating well and being well looked after should remain an affordable pleasure. That’s why we wanted a place that’s accessible, where you can drop in for a quick lunch, an after-work aperitivo or a long dinner with friends, without a second thought.
Beyond what’s on the plate, what matters most to us is hospitality. We wanted service that’s friendly, family-style and warm, like when you have people over at home. Here, we know our regulars by name, we take the time to recommend a wine, and we love watching tables grow as more friends join in.
Opened in spring 2025 in the east end of Mile End, Prezze Mollo started out as an Italian lunch spot before opening its doors in the evening a few months later.
Thank you for being part of the story. We can’t wait to welcome you to our table.
